Normally use either 20 or 12 gauge with light loads. Although smetimes take along a .410 or 22LR for a much lighter carry.

Use low velocity ammo. Remmy subs work well.
I used to hunt them with a 22 almost exclusively, but shooting them on the wing is the real deal, so given the scarce presence of birds lately, I'll try the traditional way for a while.
