In the process of ordering a Williams fool proof peep for my 1952 model 94 30-30. Was wondering if the factory front sight height would be good or should I order a lower or higher bead , will the peep match my front sight height? Regards Newfie

Good day. I just purchased a Post 64, 1967 Model 94 that came with a Williams FP sight and stock front sight. The elevation was set up perfectly when I received the rifle, with room to adjust up or down. I then put on a fiber optic front sight which was about .1” higher and the Williams FP was able to easily accommodate it as well.

I have the same setup on my pre 64 model 94 and the front sight works just fine with room for adjustment on the williams

My brother had one which required a higher ( or lower, I can't remember ) front. Only way to know for sure is to try. Williams will help you order the proper front if need be. Easy fix, as long as the front isn't stuck in the dovetail.

I have a Williams FP and did not require a new front sight. The problem I have is my front sight is canted a few degrees which makes the fp canted if I align it up level. When I adjust for example, 1 click windage also requires 1 click elevation to make up. Makes for really awkward and frustrating adjustments.

Any competent gunsmith can fix that for you.. depending on how bad it's off even just bedding the ramp and shimming it can give satisfactory results.
