Wilson Combat front sight epoxy - is it strong enough?

Guys,

I just finished installing my Wilson Combat ghost ring sights. My question is about the epoxy that you use to attach the front sight.

Is it REALLY strong enough to hold on during use? I checked some of the remaining excess, and even 36 hours later, it's still somewhat pliable.. not soft, just not rock hard. I can't scratch it or tear it, but it cuts easily with a razor blade.

Is this the proper hardened consistency? Or should it be like a rock... like regular epoxy?

I know the general knowledge is to pin it to the barrel, but this was a standard bead barrel, and there is no ramp or anything to drill through.

Also, is there any place to get more of this stuff? I'm realizing that my front sight is EVER so slightly canted to the right. Probably about one mm or less. Would it be possible to buy this type of adhesive somewhere so I could fix this little annoyance?

Thanks for the help!

JB weld is what XS Sight systems recomends....and I know it holds the front sight on an 870 secure...........mix it properly......apply it properly...........let it set up properly

mine is only glued with the stuff from wilson, about 600 round fired, used hard in the bush (no case) have been hit lot of time... never moove yet...

So the sights are just epoxied onto the barrels? I never knew you could do that. Do you need to prepare the surfaces before doing the epoxying?
