Hi Guys n Gals,
I have a Sig 1911R BSS 45 acp.....LOVE IT !!! Bought it from a CGN'r and I gotta say I'm really impressed with this gun.
Anyway, this is a full size 1911 and my hands are not. And what I'm having trouble with is reaching the mag release AND the slide catch. I can juuuuust barely reach the mag release but find I'm having to make a slight twist grip adjustment to get to these buttons.
So I was looking at the Wilson Combat parts for the 1911 on BROWNELLS, and the price is reasonable for me (about $33 for each). The "bulletproof" series of these parts seem to be what I'm leaning towards, but when I look at the reviews that people submitted, some are saying that the slide catches actually broke, the finish wore off. Good reviews for the mag releases, but not as many for the slide catches.
Can anyone offer me some advice on these? Maybe look at Ed Brown parts, or stay with WC.....need some advice and or links to said parts. Thanks in advance folks.
