Like Shelby asked- anybody know if it's the same deal with the mag extensions?

It boils down to the fact that YOU didn't do your homework.

Ask questions BEFORE you purchase.

So send it back to Brownell's and get your money back. They are pretty accomodating about returns in my experience.

BTW, I use a tacstar on my PC (Predator Control) gun and it's a good piece of kit that gets the job done.
 
OK, Clay, agreed. again, nothing against tacstar. Its a fine product. x2 on the Brownells customer service.

Here is the reply I got from Brownells. (fast too huh?)

I understand your position with your customer however I am not able to
explain why Wilson Combat has the same listing in our catalog as
Pachmayr/Tacstar Division. I would request that you contact Wilson
Combat directly at 1-800-955-4856.

I realize the issue is not money you want a shell holder with the name
Wilson Combat for your customer. I can tell you I will gladly issue
credit for the money difference between the two items. If this is not
acceptable please return the item for a full refund.

I apologize for not being able to offer more of an explanation.

I replied back to her thanking her and saying to not worry about refunding anything as the Tacstar side saddle is going to have to do, and that its not her company that is pulling this scam.

I phoned Wilson Combat and got it from them that they buy the plastic part from tacstar, fix it to their own metal part, of the same dimensions and quality and sell it at an increased price under their own name. They assured me that the finished product is a wilson combat part, for what that is worth. But take it from Claybuster if not from me. The Tacstar side sadle is great.

I just looked on Brownells site the Wison Combat sells for $31.98 and the Tac-Star retails for $32.98. So how did you pay 25% more?
 
Hmm... I just checked that myself. Thats retail. I get a discount there. My price for the Wilson was $28.99. I could have had the tac star for just over $20.
