Win. 1200 20ga Anyone hunt with one of these

I shot the 12 gauge version back in the 80's.
Didnt last two seasons of hvy loads.
The two spot welds on the action bar let go.
Bill Johnson (RIP) gave me a good deal on a trade in towards a Remington Sportsman and have been a Wingmaster Fan ever since.
Not a twenty gauge I know, but just my experience with the Winchester 1200.

No twenty bore but several 12's and a 16. The 16 is front heavy. I think it is the thicker walled barrel for the smaller gauge to be proportionate to the 12 gauge receiver. Never any issues. The Win Choke models are really heavy up front.

The reason I bought it was because of the win choke system. It’s certainly not a finesse type 20ga but it some nice fiddle back in the butt stock . If was a 3” it would make a fine duck gun with steel shot

I know that the 1200 series has a lot of people who have had trouble with them. I have to admit mine have been great and they point and handle pretty good. I put about 2 oz. of lead shot in the butt of my 16 and it leveled out perfectly. Just used 1/2 an old aluminum cigar tube and secured the shot with silicone.
