Win 1200 trigger

So I took my win 1200 out tonight for a round of trap, but after 3 shots, the trigger would not pull, and I think the slide would not lock? What would cause this?

Once I got home, I took the trigger out, and it worked fine by its self... But when I re-installed it, I dry fired it, and it worked twice then nothing!

Any ideas???

Sounds like the bolt is not compressing the hammer back into the sear. Are you short stroking the slide?

Hmm, I just went and tried to slowly rack the slide... Same problem.

However if I run it back quick and hard, it will lock every time!

What would cause this?

Just going by memory on this, I don't have one in front of me...
IIRC, there is a tab on the right side of the trigger group that mates with a detent on the bolt plate, check to see that the plate is free of debris and no substantial wear marks. I'll do my best to get a schematic and take a close look.

So I took thw hole trigger assembly apart, and put it back together, now the safety seems to stick in one position... I'm just about ready to take it to a smith and let them tell me what's wrong

Probably your best bet. Sounds like things are coming apart.
