I NEED one of these things. Hogue is either out of stock or it's impossible to buy up here.

Long story short. I have a 1300 "Defender" that I like for 3 gun. But I can't put my side saddle on it because of the "field grade" pump handle. It partially covers the receiver, so when I have the saddle on I can't open the breach all the way.

I have a new pump handle that works just fine, but the sleeve that fits around the magazine (that the pump handle attaches to) is only 4 3/4" long, and my new pump handle requries a 6 1/4" sleeve. My dad's 1300 has the 6", but I can't just scavenge his perfectly good shotty for parts.

This stupid little $10 part solves all my problems.

Hate to say but you'll probably have to just keep bugging Hogue until they can sell you one.

Hopefully you will get luck though and someone will have it lying around.

Wonder what the possibility of the one they make for Mossberg being rethreaded (assuming threads are different) to fit yours ? Probably more available.

They had them in stock. and I just ordered.

Difference in price due to exchange plus shipping is far nicer than the 30 USD Hogue wanted to charge for shipping it across the border.
I added a set of 5 dollar BHP grip screws to the order when I tried online and it added $5 to shipping. UGH.

Thanks Milarm!

Any time! Glad we got you sorted out on your Winchester build!

UPDATE:

Got it from Milarm. It was a pain to install only because I wasn't using a Hogue pump handle, which it was probably designed for, I was using an ATI I picked up at Wholesale Sports. First attempt I actually dented the side while trying to get it to fit inside the handle. The nut fits very well over the tube without much of a change in diameter, which means the aluminum is really thin where the threads are, so I thought I had completely ruined it and would need to order a new one.

Instead I took my dremel to the dented part and just cut it off, because I coudlnt' bend it back into place and keep the threads nice and clean.

After cleaning the cut up I very carefully threaded it onto the tube with the nut sticking out of the end of the new handle. I had to use a metal ruler to slowly screw it on while putting gentle pressure on front and back of the tube. Worked well, and it's rock solid, even after my initial slip up and hack job.

I had to put it in storage the other day because of a move, so I can't get pics at the moment, but I will soon.
