I have recently come into possession of my Uncles Winchester 1300 12 ga shotgun, a personal fav. However the original stock was ruined and what he put on was a pistol grip with a stock.

It's not really to my liking in terms of a pistol grip.

Something I would be interested in getting my hands on is a speedfeed birdshead pistol grip. I know it's discontinued but if anyone knows where i could find used, or looking to sell I would be very interested in hearing about it.

If the grip itself, plus install hardware etc. Is all that is available and not the fore end that is fine.

The only other thing i could ask is that a friend, said something that the speefeed designed that pistol grip and stock set for both the Winchester 12/1300 as well as the Remi 870. I'm gonna assume that hardware is different for either of those two shotguns.

Any suggestions, helpful advice would be much appreciated.

afew people are selling them on ebay for the remington. what you might wanna do is write to them and ask if they have another for the winchester.

i made one up for an 870 because i could not find one for sale. use the original stock for a pattern and practice on some scrap lumber before your final effort .if i was to make another one i would drill the stock bolt hole first before i shaped the wood .i cut down a stock bolt from an old iver jonson and re-threaded it .these birdshead grips are much easier on the hand than a regular pistol grip.

Thanks those are all great suggestions I am likely gonna post something in EE. I did manage to find a site in the states Deltaforce.com that appears to have it. First sending an email to them ask if they actually have it in stock.

However they don't ship to canada. I do however have a buddy who live in NY and he said he could buy for me, and ship it up to me from his place. Only thing he wanted to be sure of is are there any legal issues there.

To my knowledge there is no since it's a grip and fore end but can't hurt to ask the experts around here
