win 1890 with 2 serial numbers..who has one?

Does anyone own or know where there is a Win 1890 with 2 different ser numbers on it because the barrel and action pieces have been interchanged at some point? I have one and it would be nice to find the opposing twin and get the pieces back where they belong. Please PM with any info. Thanks..wTc

Are you sure its is not a 1906 and 1890 clean up gun? just a thought? 1952-54 was large scale parts clean up at winchester as the accountants were trying to save the company from going under? Your gun maybe one of this small batch of mixed parts wich are completely legit! cheers for now, Dale Z!

Winchester did a large amount of clean up parts assembly. I had a Model 51 in 25-20 with a model 92 barrel. Yours may also be a carney rifle. Many were very worn from constant usage and parts were shifted around to keep them operational.
