I am liquidating an estate. This Winchester was manufactured in 1912 with serial number 607582. The stock was shortened and then lengthened. What is its present value?

Thanks

Sadly what's been done to the stock in my opinion reduces it's value by a couple hundred dollars. I'm no expert on the price of old firearms but have found they are worth precisely what someone is willing to pay. I personally would not pay more then $200-300 tops, but that's me.

Caliber is important as well as the condition of the bore.

What caliber is the gun and how is the bore?

The answers to these questions would really affect value.

Given time, a suitable stock could likely be found.

The rifle seems to have a lot of blue left on the barrel and mag. A new butt stock could be found, an original, unsanded will cost around $200. To me the rifle would be worth around $750, unmolested so subtracting the $200 from $750 estimate leaves around $500 for a value assuming the bore is good. My 2 cents.
