Has anyone on here used the Winchester Point round?
How was its performance?

I`m thinking of using it for coyotes around the Ranch/Farm.

I shot one chicken (grouse) and one coyote with a .30-30 using 150gr HP's 30 years ago and after the resulting explosions of fur & feathers, never used them again. I tried for a head shot on the chicken, but hit too low (with spectacular results) And that poor coyote had all his insides on the outside after the hit.

I like the 125g bullets in the .30-30 for coyote. I have used a lot of Remington psp's in my bolt action and single shot .30-30's. They work great out to 250 yards and with a bit of practice 300 yards is no problem either.

I shot a badger about a year ago with one. He was up on a bank about eye level with me looking right at me at about 20 yards. I hit him square in the head. I was expecting him to be torn up bad but, when I got up to him I was very suprised to see no exit hole! I figured he'd be inside out! He did die quick however.

That sounds good it delivered 100% of it energy into the target.
