I've been told these are the same powder with minor burning rate differences.True or false? Is the data interchangeable?Thanx Harold ***I know not to use reduced charges with either and mag primers

As far as I can tell you'd need a pressure gun to tell the difference...if any. Very versatile powders that work reasonably well in almost any cartridge.

I tried H414 yesterday for the first time in my 22-250. The pound I have has US GOV'T SURPLUS - Retail $7.99 on the can so I have no idea how old it actually is. I am very impressed with the results, my rifle seemed to like this powder much better than the Varget or Benchmark. I will be acquiring more in the future.
How temperature stable is H414 compared to Varget?

H-414 is repackaged WW-760 as Hod. had Win.(olin) produce it for them and it is a good powder in med. sized cases and on the fast side of 4350. The usual warning is needed here, always consult a loading manual for the exact powder you are using and don't try to guess at charge weights because of a powders' supposed closeness in burning rate to other powders.

lifted from 24 hour campfire regarding the same question:

St. Marks in Florida has manufactured ball or spherical powders for both Winchester and Hodgdon. The list includes WW780, WW785, WMR, W760, Supreme780, H450, H414, and others.
It has been admitted by Hodgdon that H414 is W760.
