Win 84 and 840 stocks interchaneable ?

Does anyone know if they are compatible ? I have my Grandpa's 12ga 84 with a cracked stock and need a replacement? Thanx Harold

Interchangeable but early model is walnut ..........latter is birch.Expected some constructive feedback.I guess the shortest distance between two points is talk to a smith.Harold

Stocks are basically the same for all gauges. Might or might not be exactly interchangeable. Certainly can be fitted.
A socket wrench with an extension is needed to engage the stock bolt.

Are you 100% sure. I know 410/ 28 are not even close from my experience trying to make a 12ga work or the 12ga one I was given was not cooey

Unless your talking those Remington 1100's in 20 gauge that where built on full size 12 gauge frames
Just having to toss that one into the fold for discussion is all.
So, how has the early Goose Season been for those who made it out?

I think 12 +16 are the same ,20+28 the same and .410 unique.Harold
