Lookin to put a newer barrel on my 94, its a pre 64 model

If i get a barrel made post 1964, will it match up to my rifle?

If so, anyone know where i can get a 94 barrel in 7-30waters?

thanks

Pre-64's bring high prices. You should sell it and buy a new rifle. If you change the barrel its value will drop considerably.

That is good advice Sunray has given you. You would be better off just selling it and getting one in 7mm Waters.

I have installed a post '64 barrel from a commemorative on 4 digit '94 receiver. Went right on and indexed. As far as I know '94 threads are "timed". Incidentally '94s use the same shank threads as '92s.
The angle eject is an exception. I believe the threads are the same, but the extractor cut is different.

On the barrel.
I took a new barrel, from a '94 (thanks Tiriaq) and put it on an 1892! it even indexed!
So I'm thinking it likely will fit.
There will likely be other considerations though, like the back site may be located in a different location on the barrel taper, resulting it your old sights not working on the new barrel.
