win 94 clone in 762x25

true but massive difference in ammo cost

Between surplus and commercial .357 Magnum? Yes, there's a difference. Between commercial 7.62x25 and plain vanilla .38 Specials? A bit, but no different than 9mm vs .45acp. Reloaded .38 specials blast it out of the water in regards to cost. Nevermind that you could ethically whack a deer with a .357 Mag, a 86gr SP in 7.62x25 isn't going to come close.

I wouldn't be interested in a lever action 7.62x25. But a small mini mauser short barrel bolt action taking tokarev mags,
Or a break action single shot.
Or a 10" rifled chamber adapter in 12 gauge.
All of these would interest me much more

How about just reloading 30-30 cast for a model 94. Using trailboss I get around 1000 fps with 170 grainers and it's like shooting a 22lr. Costs about 8 cents a pop. You could do the same with 357 mag.

If your really set on a 7.62x25 rifle I think you would have better luck with getting chiappa to build you an M1-9 in 762.
Just my 2 cents
