What are the advantages of shooting win clean?

What about shooting with a gas (like HK P7) type pistol?

What ammo has low emission/carbon for cleaner shooting?

LH

I will only be using WinClean in my P7.

When you look at the cases after they have been fired it is hard to tell if they have actually been used.

Extremely clean burning and that is a great benefit to guns such as the P7 that has a gas delay action with small tubes. I am looking at the clean burning characteristics and not necessarily the lead free primers. The bullets also have copper jacketed bases so no lead particles get into the gas action either.

Just watch the brass jacketed bullets......fouling is brutal to get out of riflng. I can still see it in my SIG barrel from shooting 1 box of it about 4 years ago.

The "gold" coloured brass jackets should be composed from 80 to 90% copper and the remainder is zinc and maybe a bit of lead.

If you use a good copper remover it should get all the copper out. Then the remaining zinc should be able to be removed mechanically with a bore brush.

I have not had any trouble getting the fouling out.

Winclean is only good if you are worried about lead exposure, otherwise (aside from the clean brass) it is not much different.

From Winchester's web site regarding WinClean, "...The patented lead and heavy-metal free primers, Brass Enclosed Base bullets and clean-burning propellants not only eliminate airborne lead at the firing point, they also generate less barrel, action and shellcase residue.....

We shot 100 rounds through our glock, first time shooting it. Everything went pretty well. Only one round didnt eject, first round fired....gotta break it in:D :dancingbanana:

Yeah WinClean is pretty cool for that clean brass factor. Pretty neat when you are cleaning up, picking up and checking brass and notice that it looks like it's going through a dishwasher.

The dirtest ammo I shot so far is Remington, left quite a bit a residue in my NZ-85, the nice thing about the Sig and other open slides is they don't retain the residue like the guns with the smaller ejection ports.
