Win Defender

A buddy is interested in selling his defender and has not given me a price what would be a fair offer? it appeaers to be chromed or high polish nickel and comes with a pistol grip and forend as well as a full stock and wood forend .I looked on it for a model # but all I could find was "Defender"appears to be a 1200 but I could be wrong .The shotgun is in excellent condition......would appreciate the help in pricing this as i don't want to offend him.

believve all defenders are model 1300's. (assuming its a winchester, the most common brand).

A new defender is offered from a dealer in Canadian Access for $377.00 but that is a special offer, I believe. If it's a marine model or stainless,etc. it usually commands a little more. With the extra stock, if it was mine to sell, I would put it in the $350.00 - $425.00 range. It depends on overall condition, round count, how badly he wants to be rid of it, etc. That's my take. Hope this helps.

Dorm's right on all counts. 1300 Stainless Marine. $350 sounds fair to both...

A Defender goes for $380 new.
A Marine Defender goes for $600 new.

I would think 350 would be giving it away.
