Very nice, I know a Gun Smith who uses a parkerize solution on
model 94 Winchester rifles that look like that
Some receivers won't take the blue , so he uses
a dark park colour

Apparently there some 94’s that were not capable of being reblued because of the kind of metal on the receiver. I remember reading there were certain years and serial numbers that were affected.

I think they were from 64 into the 70s.

This was a ‘75 and definitely fell into that category, after the first pass I thought it wasn’t going to turn out but I guess I got lucky lol.

There is a gunsmith on you tube that boils in water rusty metal gun parts . It seems to work well for him. I think his channel is called “the anvil”
