Question about Win Model 70 push feed firing pins...
I've noticed older push feed Win M70's have a round, enclosed end at the back of the bolt. You can't see the end of the firing pin. Newer models have more of a Rem 700 style...you can see the firing pin and can easily tell if the rifle is cocked or not. (Older style you see a red tab showing when the rifle is cocked...so also easy to tell.)
When did the change occur and why? Just curious...
Cheers,
