win model 94 question????

does anybody know a trick to line up and remove the pin holding the lever to the slide......the last 1 I did took me forever to line it up, there must be an easier way......

When the bolt's closed and the lever up, the pin should be aligned with both the screw hole on the left-hand side and the punch access hole on the right-hand side.

While that's esentiallt true, sometimes you have to push forward on the bolt while holding the lever up. You are pushing against the extractor ramping up on the back of the receiver. It's much worse on guns with a bit of headspace due to wear.
