Win XP-100 info needed

Hi Guy`s, Just bought an XP-100 Silhouette in 7mm BR Anyone have a link to the Owners manual? The one I got hasn`t been shot in 8 years or so
It has no sites. What scope base does one buy for it?Leupold? What`s the best scope for the job? I guess I`m now searching for brass and dies, and oh,does anyone reform standard 308 Win, or should one use new 7mm BR brass?

I have one, (Remington vs. )no manual. Takes the the same bases as a Remington 600.

I'd buy 7br brass which is readily available, or if you want to spend big bucks buy foreign 6br brass and resize it. I use standard Rem. brand brass and can't complain about accuracy.

If you use re-formed brass you have to watch the loads because the case volume is lower. Factory cases also use small primers and the .308 uses large which also affects pressures. Best performance is usually with 120-150 grain bullets.

If you can't find brass, let me know and I will lend you my forming die set.

I have one in, .221 Fireball. I have a Leupold M8-2X scope on it, but if I was 'buying' a scope for it, I would've opted for a 4X. I'm not suer what brand or who made the mounts, but the base is a solid one piece. I haven't dug too deeply as to the maker but it has a mark on it that looks like a capital R, circled by what looks like the view through a scope. Remington? Redfield?

That would be a Redfield base, and as stated, it will also fit the Rem 600/660 (same basic receiver). XPs are good guns, amazingly accurate for the most part. I haven't had one for a while now, the one I currently own has been turned into a rifle. - dan
