Winchester‘s new Ranger lever action

What do these Savagiss sell @?
The Savage Revel Classic in 22 LR, 17 HMR, or 22 WMR retail for approximately $600.00 to $650.00.

The Savage Revel Deluxe models in the same rimfire calibers retail from $779.99 to $800.00.

Like Eagle stated, Savage Mark II rimfires retail for approximately $429.99 to $499.99. Depending on caliber, barrel type, stock type, and model......:)

Someone should start a separate thread about Savage Revel. This thread should be about Winchester Ranger 22. I wanted to learn a thing or two about them but I am learning a lot about Savage Revel.
The problem is Winchester Rangers are sold out at all the places I checked.....:(

They took three years to arrive after their introduction at Shot-Show.

I expect them to disappear from the Browning/Winchester line-up. I doubt any more will show up in Canada. Maybe I'm wrong.

But why buy a Turkish made Winchester which really isn't Winchester at all, it's a Turkchester. Not saying this is bad, but buy a Canadian made Savage Revel. It's a take-down model, very accurate and smooth cycling, feeding, and ejecting.

Good luck finding a Ranger though, it will not be easy to locate one.

What kind of accuracy do you get with the revel at 50yds?

This depends if one uses open sights or a scope.

Open sights produces 1/2" groups at 25 yards. I would think this will double to 1" or more at 50 yards.

I do not have a scope on our Revels yet. From the reports I have seen, it should shoot 1/2" groups with quality ammunition, scoped, and a good shooter behind the rifle. @ 50 yards.

Lots of variables. Results can vary from person to person, or even rifle to rifle.......:)

Sounds about the same as my Henry with irons.

I'd like a classic looking and handling 22 lever with machined aluminum (or steel) receiver, walnut furniture, spare parts availability and modern scope mounting options. Ideally no plastic anywhere. Too much to ask?

The Henry almost gets there, but I can't get past the receiver pot metal.

I'd be interested in handling one of these Rangers..

Picked up the ranger and put a couple rounds down range the last couple days. I like it so far. Nice wood on it. Fit and finish is great on it. Shot 3 different rounds, CCI blazer, federal champion and Aguila hp. No cycling issues.Trigger was quite a bit heavier than my friends Henry. Hopefully that breaks in. I’ll take out my browning and savage lever guns when I get home and see how they compare.IMG_6127.jpeg
