I recently bought a Win 100 semi auto from the EE. It has the original firing pin that was factory recalled 25 years ago. I phoned Winchestwr and the replacement policy is still valid, just remove the pin and mail it to them, simple. I read the removal procedure, watched a couple videos and wondered why mine was different. It wouldn't slip out of the bolt when the retaining pin was removed. It wouldn't come out for love nor money.
On close examination there was a raised ridge around the pin ahead of the spring at the rear of where the retaining pin would be. The pin is hardened steel so a file won't touch it. I verified this just to prove the point.

To successfully remove it, I chucked the pin in my cordless drill, held the bolt so it wouldn't bind on the Chuck and used a diamond file (fingernail file) in the slot on the bolt while spinning the firing pin in the drill. It only took a few !minutes to file down the ridge, then the firing pin slipped right out of the bolt.

I suspect the damage was caused be dry firing and the shoulders constantly striking the retaining pin, so building up the ridge.

Ive had mine apart a few times over the years, and its never been a problem. I had the firing pin replaced a few years ago, but the original never acted up on me. The gas piston can seize on them if you are not careful, then its almost impossible to take the stock off when that happens.
