Hey guys~as a long time 870 guy, I'm now in unfamiliar territory. :) The nut at the end of the forend/pump handle~how do I get that off without damaging the finish? Is there a tool for it?

Thanks!

There is a tool for it, I think it's about $40 but it's easy enough to make your own. I used electrical conduit pipe, ground to fit the forearm nut slots then drill a hole through the pipe to insert a screw driver to use as a "T" handle.

You should be able to disassemble the entire gun and slide the pump handle and hardware off of the tube. At that point any appropriate width piece of strap steel should span the slots and turn the nut off. It will depend on how far down on the threads the nut has been spun if this technique will work..
