Winchester 1300 pumps ?

To the Orig. Poster, the 1300 (and the 1200, and the 2200, all pumps) are like TurkeySlayer said, between the Mossberg and the Wingmaster. Nowhere near the BPS. That said, they function fine, and will do what you ask of a shotgun. They've been around since the '60s. They have no deficiencies I'm aware of. The rotary bolt design is fast and smooth, brilliant feature.

Hi, i just got a Winchester 1200 with a 18" Barrel, is it usable for waterfowl hunting or do i look for a longer Barrel ?

As long as you can plug the magazine to hold no more than two shells, it will technically work on waterfowl. You also have no choke, which isn't as bad a handicap with steel shot, but you're pattern is still limited to close range only. Ducks over close decoys, it'll work fine IF you are a practised wingshooter. You'll really need to focus on your swing and follow-through with such a short barrel.

I have a Win 1300 and a Rem express 870. I consider the 1300 a much better gun in all respects. Better finish, better fit, faster cycling, more reliable, etc.

I have a 2200. I don't know how it compares to the 1200 and 1300, but I think it's pretty close.
It's my grouse/bear protection gun.
The barrel I had shortened to 18.5 and had a large bead installed. Very light, very fast. Perfect for grouse. Love it.
