Winchester 1885 in 22 lr

If I m being honest since I already have a C Sharps high wall in 22lr and since the Winchester low wall because of the high stock comb that really doesn t help if you want to use the iron sights and because I like using iron sights I would go with a Uberti low wall in 22lr instead

Too bad Winchester (Miroku) doesn’t make this version like they did for Browning years back to accommodate a tang rear sight.
You can't mount a tang sight on the Winchester? That's too bad.

I wish they didn't have that stupid tang safety on the 1892 for the same reason

The Winchester 1885 is a nice gun but the internals are completely different from the originals also
how so ?

Here are two schematics of the miroku and the original 1885 though in the miroku version is the earlier version with the tang unlike the current version. The Uberti closely follows the original .The miroku is the one on the bottom

In your mind you have 2 k in reality you want piece of mind
Ya the fact I already have a gun coming and trying to explain why I m buying another one before that one even shows up would not be worth the trouble. Some times discretion is the better part of valour. Now on the other hand if it was a one of a kind had to have gun then it just might be worth putting up with it😁
