Just ordered a new lowwall in 6.5 x 55,shot show special only, from Epps.It shure looks nice in the pictures and it comes with 1 piece base and rings.Web sight says 7.8 pounds for all calibers in the lowwall. It sounds heavy for a lowwall. My Browning lowwall 243 is only 6.8 pounds.Still I cant wait till it gets here.nice 2.5 x 8 leupold waiting to go on.:D
Dont understand why they picked 6.5 x 55 but its still a great cal.:D

Yes, the Browning Low Wall was very handy and light. They made a few in .260 Rem, but they are tough to find. I don't know why the new ones are so much heavier.

1300 would be a pretty good price, I'd be expecting 16+ to be realistic on it.
I see new 243's/22-250's going in the US for 1175 and up. Add the export permit and freight, bit of exchange, 16+ is more likely. Doesn't appear to be any on hand down south yet either. The 300H&H is 1499 up here, and I think the Winchester MSRP was a bit lower on it (12-13 IIRC), than this Low Wall is.
