Hello. Ive got a win 1892 that is in rough shape. Bolt is damaged , extra holes and cracked wood. . Wondering what your thoughts are. Is it worth trying to find parts or just sell ot for parts. Its all there . And is shootable . The riffling is good . Would really just need a bolt . I can send photos to anyone interested.

The 25-20 was the .22 of its day ... a pioneer neigbour lady used to talk about shooting rabbits and prairie chicken and grouse with it to keep "meat on the table". I've got a 25-20 in both rifle and carbine ... makes a nice introduction to shooting for beginners with just enough recoil to get them excited!!! Good plan to keep it!!!!

Had to chime in just because the 25-20Win is my favorite cartridge. I see that the OP's question has been correctly self-answered and Superted
has nicely boosted the cartridge, so.....carry on!
