Hi all, a friend has an old win 92 src in 32-20 that is in pretty rough shape that we are gonna try and get functional again but we need a few parts. do you have any good sources you can point us to. we need: buttstock,forend,forend barrel band, mag follower,buttplate screws,cartridge guide spring. the carbine was made in 1906

Another source is Winchester Bob's (do a Google). He does not ship to Canada, so I get him to ship to a friend in the US, who then ships to me.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Numrich (AKA Gun Parts Corporation). If you don’t already have their monstrous, phone-book-like catalogue, you should spend the $5.00 US. It’s a wonderful source of information and diagrams. They have a significant pile of pre-64 model 94 parts, as well as parts for some stuff you probably didn’t even know existed. An excellent place if WGP doesn’t pan out.

Another useful source is Mr. Fred Goodwin of Sherman Mills, Maine. Mr. Goodwin is approximately 477 years old, and his hearing is not what it used to be. Nonetheless, he’s more than willing to talk to you to determine what you need (speak loudly, slowly, and clearly), then get back to you to tell you if he has it, and if so, how much. He’s got an extensive stock of old parts, and a great accent.

Buckingham’s is (in my experience) very slow to respond to email. I sent them a letter two years ago. I can only assume the pony express guy was bushwhacked, because I haven’t heard squat since. They have a website, but it’s really not much. However, they give every indication of having decent parts availability, and for $10.00 US, will send you a catalogue to prove it. If you’re looking for obscure bits, they’re one more possible source.

Cowboy Arms has new springs and screws for many of the Winchester lever guns and reproductions. They’re even building replacement toggle links for the early lever guns.

This was some time ago, so some of these folks may well be out of business - Fred Goodwin was ancient ten years ago, and if he still walks the earth, he's really, really old - but WGP is still up and running, as is Numrich. They'd be where I'd start.
