Hi there, just picked up a clone of a Win 1897 pump in 12 ga. I am quite taken with it, finish is nice, wood is really nice, and I like the looks of the thing for sure. But I do have a question re cycling.
After the gun has been shot, it requires a little nudge forward on the pump, before it will rack back. If slam firing, it does not, just keep on pumping with the trigger held down. I could learn to give it the little nudge, but I have not experienced this on any other pump gun. Comments, advice, feedback appreciated.
Also, chokes. It has a screw in choke, pretty sure its CYL, are there other chokes available, and which manufacturers choke would fit the factory thread?
Thanks
T
