hi all, i have just come across a problem with a rifle i got on the ee, took it to the range today, loaded 10 rounds into the magazine, pulled the charging handle and released.......and it went off. now it was pointed downrange, safety ON of course. i checked the chamber and it was loaded with another round.
i emptied it out, checked the action and it seemed ok. the trigger was already "released" as i checked the tension against it.
so i loaded it back up with a few more rounds, charged it with no issue, fired off the rounds i had loaded. these ones went off as they should, and ejected just fine. i was using CCI Blazers.
so i loaded up about a half dozen, and pulled the charging handle and released it, pop, it went off again, checked the chamber and there was another round ready to go. emptied the load, triple checked it was clear, again the trigger had "released" , put the lock on it, put it in the case and brought it home.
so in total there was maybe 20 rounds put through it.
i tore it down to see if i could spot anything amiss. nothing, it all seemed to be fine upon inspection. now that being said i am NOT a trigger expert and i'm thinking it's probably somewhere in there. sear/disconnect kinda thing.
i turn to you for some advice as to what might be causing this lil beauty to misbehave. the previous owner says he had no issue with it. your thoughts/ideas are appreciated.
in the end i know it will have to go to a gunsmith i'm sure, but some CGN diagnosis can't hurt.
thanks in advance for your help.
cheers
