Dies and brass from budget arrived today and was finishing up the recoil buffer assembly .Not the same on a 1910 as the 1907 so had a bit of trimming and fabbed up a pocket and cap. Also didn't save a reamer holder so made a set of floating style for 7/16 and 1/2"

Well I receiver the reamer .Chambered up the barrel and the fun begins .First loads do not cycle action imr 4227 and 180gr round hornady 3075 bullet .Shave weight till action will cycle .Now the problem is it is erratic ,won't cycle on one to two shots and then it does one case will be proper and then the shoulder moves forward .

still using the same bullet try lil gun powder and similar results .try 4198 won't cycle.

conclusion is that the bottle neck case in a delayed blow back might not be the way to go .

Just around a 100 rounds so far with 3 powders and varring charges and even a 150 gr bullet no success so far also shaved weight and replaced weight with stick on wheel weights still missing something .

Might try using a 110 carbine bullet next ,(made a 1907 a few years ago in 30 carbine and works proper ) .Will try some more later ,will ponder for abit .

Will shave a bit more off the weight and try again and if I cant figure it out it will become a 30 carbine and will use the 300blk out on a baby martini ....and build some rimless xtractors fo them ,always another way to skin her LOL(110 bullet no worky either)

I wouldn't take any more mass out of the under barrel weight. The problem with inconsistent pressure and inconsistent cycling seems to relate to a headspacing problem. You may have gone a bit too deep with your reamer and you aren't getting the same level of pressure from one shot to the next because the cases aren't consistently headspacing on the shoulder.

I'd start with .357 mag brass and turn down the bases to a semi-rimmed spec (like 38 Super) - so they feed through your magazine but still headspace on the rim (as the 1907 was intended to). I'd resize these semi rimmed 357 mag cases in your 300 BLKOUT dies BUT keep loosening the sizing dies it until you produce rounds which headspace on both the semi-rim and the case shoulder.

I'd go with a 125 grain bullet and a fairly fast powder.

Great project! Good luck

problem solved LOL .Loaded it to 30carbine specs with a 110 gr sp 12.5 gr 2400 ,cycles and the cases ejected look good .I originally wanted a 160 to 180 gr bullet but a 110 that works is also good and it basically duplicates the 30 carbine but in a bottle neck

even though I did not get the heavy bullets to work I am still satisfied with the results and will still consider it a sucess

Will now tear it down and blue her up
Cheers Peter
