Winchester 2-3/4" 12 gauge 1 oz slugs / 870 magnum w/20" remchoke barrel/irons
I took out my 870 last weekend to finish zeroing it, I took 30 slugs with me and used them all up I want to bring it out next weekend to confirm the zero, I managed to eventually get it on target at 100 yards, I was finally getting about 8" groups (I know, it needs practice), but for what it was it wasn't too bad- I was using the IC choke tube, I might bring the rifled choke tube next time I'm out, I decided I was going to swab the bore with bore butter after every shot (Traditions) - I don't think I used enough because there was some leading (but not as much as if I did not use the lube in there) - using the bore butter did not seem to have any adverse effects other than making cleaning easier at the end of the day.
