Winchester .22 ammunition

They work fine in my 10/22. Not a single misfire, but I had one in the box with a dent in the case :confused:

They make a mess of gophers too.
 
I have shot Federal bulk out of my Savage Mako and I definitely wouldnt put another round of it through this rifle, I found the accuracy terrible. I have had excellent results with Winchester Dynapoint, X-Perts not so much, and 333 surprised me actually, although not nearly as good as the Dynapoint; for me at least. Since I have bought the Savage, I have tried lots of different ammo, match quality, bulk, various sub-sonic stuff. If I am going to shoot at 30-40m for a casual range session, I have no problem shooting the Dynapoints. I think they are a bargain ammo that give good results. It a semi, it may be a different story, but so far so good in my bolt gun.

had federal and win when we went to the range. it would mis fire with the win but as soon as we changed back to federal it would stop.
 
Dumb question - and I ought to know better, I'm sure - but does all Winchester rimfire ammo seem to get that "Super X" stamp on it? :confused: I've seen it on my Super-X, as well as my Winny Wildcat. :rolleyes:

You see, I've yet to shoot Xperts...:redface:

Too much Remington and Federal ammo lying around at present, I guess.. :)
 
I've been shooting xperts exclusively in my model 2 brno for years and they worked just great. Lately though the groups are terrible. Didn't Winchester ammo get sold earlier this year? I tried a box of 333's and found most of them have bent casings. I Need to find a new pill for my picky Brno and it hates federal. :mad:
 
Headshot, try the Dynapoints, I really like them. My local Canadian tire also now carries CCI Blazer which doesn't shoot too bad, just under $30/brick.
 
I do all my shooting with a relatively new 10/22, almost stock (bipod, floated barrel, non-bedded). I find the Xperts have a lot of feeding issues, and generally I would get 5-6" groups at 50 yards with them.

Dynapoints, 4-5" groups, no feed issues, but at least once every 10 rounds was a FTF or stovepipe. I foudn them pretty useless, and after 2 boxes, went looking for osmehting else.

My 10/22 LOVES those 333 boxes. For some reason they print a steady 1.5" group at 75 yards. After 5 boxes, not a single FTF, FTE, or even a stovepipe. I also like the lack of lead fowling that you see with the Xperts.
 
just got a 10/22 and thought i would give winchester another try. i bought the super x in the 100 round sleeve.had 1 ftf but no jams and shot a 1" group at 50 yards. going to give the 333s another try this weekend.

the federals are not very good in my gun. had atleast one fte or stove pipe per box of 50 and shot 3-5 inch groups at 50 yards.
 
tryed the 333s and a box of the dynapoints. had no misfires with either of them. both shot about 1.5 inch groups at 50 yards on the bench and 2 inch groups standing.
 
Used the 5 dollar coupon at Can Tire to buy some Xpert22 and some 000 buck. Tomorrow is the last day for the 5 dollars off on a 20 dollar purchase. 17.99 for 500 of the Xperts and 3.93 for a box of five 000 2 3/4 12 gauge(they still have lots of the 000 on clearance - Oshawa Stevenson/Gibb store). Minus 5 bucks off these prices, needless to say I left happy. :) Hope the Xperts perform well in my 10/22 like they have for others. Seems like the BC steel lips like them better than the factory mag.
 
I've gone through a box of 333s in my MKIII with no misfires or jams, and very good accuracy. I'm impressed. This is my cheap ammo of choice for the pistol from now on. Of course, YMMV.
 
What an improvement Winchester made by jacketing the hollow points. Even my finichy Cooey 64s eat them like dynapoints. All the bolts love them and am getting smaller patterns at 100 yards.
