Hello Gunnutz
I currently have a 2200 in 2 3/4 chamber. I would like to know if I was to find a barrel with a 3" chamber will I have issues ejecting the longer 3" shells? Also can I use a barrel for the 1200 and 1300 interchangablly? Are the actions exactly the same regardless which chamber the gun came with?

Thanks
Marc

There are potential ejection issues with the longer fired hull, but not a given. The Winchester has a spring steel ejector, not fixed such as an 870.
IIRC, the 2200 was the 1200/1300 marketed in Canada.

The 2200 Magnum had a different ejector. It also used a spring in the rear of the receiver that allowed the the ejector to slide rearward and then return forward after the fired hull was ejected. Unless you install the 3" ejector and spring it will not eject a fired 3" hull. Note that some recievers need to be drilled for the spring to be installed as well.

U will have to change the ejector but the spring is the same the dimple on the 3" ejector sits further back then on the 2 3/4. " ejector a proximity 1/2" which allows the hull to travell further back so it can clear the ejection port

I have a 2200, that came with a 20 inch 1200 barrel [3"] and I just added a rifled slug barrel off a 1300. My reciever is 2-3/4 but thats all I use for deer anyway.
