Winchester 2400 info needed

Not a bad gun. They do need cleaning more than other gas operated autos due to the style of gas system. They only hold two rounds in the mag no plug is required. The gas system uses the rest of the mag tube. Lot's of use will result in a fore end that will not tighten up with the mag cap. Spacers are available to remedy this. Complete take down for cleaning involves a little skill and a manual would be a great asset. Like previously noted decent gun that will do what it should. Some had fixed chokes and some had Win Choke system. I think all were 2 3/4" chambered.

I see, that's why I cant figure out why I can only get two shells in it, and I am having trouble getting it apart is there a trick to it ?

IIRC the fore end comes off. Then the barrel. Push out the trigger group pin. Remove the trigger group. Locate the small slotted screw on the bottom of the bolt carrier and remove it. This will free the carrier which is the charging handle also. The bolt then can be removed. BE ADVISED the bolt carrier retains the firing pin and spring they will leap out when you remove it. Now you will be able to lift the action bar rivet out of the obvious hole in the mag tube and move it forward under control due to the action spring. From there you can do a thorough cleaning.

I've gotten everything off except the barrel and grip how ??? It moves up and down but feels like its hitting somthin

I have to ask, did you unscrew the magazine cap? The only other issue is that the piston and vent (gas) assembly is so dirty it has seized to the barrel ring. Try to get some solvent into and around the barrel ring and let it sit awhile. Together we will get this gun apart.

Yes I had the cap, and as it turns out it was sooo dirty from the previous owner it had to be pounded off(by a gunsmith) thank for your comments !
