So a few mixed comments ive gotten, i want to know, a pre 64 winchester 30-30, whats it worth?

was the receiver drilled to mount the scope?
if so,that takes away any real collector value,but it is still a real nice rifle
my estimate would be $500 to $700
 
depends on the appearance. is it marked up? how's the blueing? a real decent looker should fetch $500. easily. If she's just a plain and a little rough cheese pizza, maybe $400. if lady luck is around!

Most buyers would pull the scope and mount.
If you had the side mount plug screws you could go this route.
Save the scope for something else or peddle it.
It would depend on how bad the receiver blue is under that side
mount.
The sling stud/swivel is like boogering up the bulls eye on the Marlins.
Five brown ones I think would be about right.
There are a few looking for this sort of set up.

Try taking pictures that are in focus and with natural light on the gun instead of shadows.
Looking at the first picture, it looks like their is typical bluing wear at the muzzle and receiver and also some round holes in the foreend for some reason?
Missing front sight hood.
How are the screw heads?
Any Rust(freckles) or 'Patina" as some people like to call it.
How does it shoot?

I don't think the receiver's been drilled & tapped. Those Williams side mounts used the existing holes for the peep sight at the rear, and the take-down plug screw in the front; my brother has a similar set-up.

The swivel stud in the buttstock still takes it from collector status to shooter, plus the plug screw will have to be replaced if you ever take the scope off. I would agree with the 4-450 appraisal.

I have a 1949 that is not drilled and tapped and I also have a 1957 which is drilled and tapped. I just forget what year it was that they started doing them.
