A quick 'net search found this for you from a collector:
There's a reason they don't make this model any longer, which was poor sales volume. The Winchester Ranger was economy version of the Model 94. The Ranger differed from the earlier Model 94's in that it was not as finely finished, was fitted with birch hardwood stocks instead of Walnut, and it deviated from the original John Browning design with its rebounding hammer...a feature that never went over well with the public. Manufactured on the cheap in order to control its production cost, its lower MSRP was just about the only thing it had going for it, and its last official Winchester catalog MSRP at the time of it being discontinued in 2006 was only $386. As for current value, condition is everything and because these Rangers were low cost econo models, prior owners have not necessarily had the incentive to take care of them as they would a $1,000 plus model 94. Assuming 80-90% condition, current value would be in the $250-$400 range. However, there will always be an example here and there of higher selling prices than the aforementioned value range due to the uniformed gun buyer and an overpriced seller coming together at the right time.
