Winchester .303 brit question.

Hi Gents,
I was rolling around a 303 British (Winchester manufacture) in my hands the other day and of course I got around to trying to spin the bullet. Well, it did spin without any in/out motion so I twisted it back into the casing so it was no longer finger tight. I could NOT pull the projectile out of the casing.

I've never run into this before, and had never had a failure to fire with this box, or any previous (MkIV Lee Enfield). But I'm wondering, since about 1/3 or the box has the same looseness issue, should I be worried about this batch? Should I message the company? Does anyone else notice this with larger calibre rounds?

I dont think your have anything to worry about, There is quite a few factory rounds I have been able to twist the bullet on, but never actally been able to pull out because of the crimp. And still fired them without a problem. I would just try my hardest to try and not submerge them in any water ;)
 
Ha! Haven't taken them swimming yet!

I can't rotate any other rounds I have - .30-30 or .223. But it certainly couldn't hurt to ask the CGN'ers.

Lesson number 1. No swimming with .303. Done :)
 
oh lots of reasons for this, but none of which are are to be concernd about. ive had this with alot of factory ammo of a wide array of calibers, and its never affected what i expect from factory loads in terms of safty, and accuracy.
