I bought a box of this to try out in my Browning Challenger 3 as i'm still trying to find some decent cheap stuff to bang away with and wow I didn't get through 2 magazines without having so many problems. I even had to stop and reload the 2nd mag with FF rounds from the bench.

the old timer next to me was nice enough to slip me a box of his federal stuff to see if it was my gun having a fit and sure enough his stuff went through no problem.

I'm hoping to get a .22 rifle sooner rather than later and hope this stuff feeds well into it because i cant use it in my pistol. i'll be stuck with it if the rifle doesn't like it.

Yup, the shape of the projectile will be different on each type of ammo, and the ramp and chamber is different on each rimfire too. Those same 333 will probably be awesome in your next gun. I have about a dozen rimfire pistols and rifles, and not one of them will shoot anything. They all have their favorite type of ammo.

yes.

that was where the problem was. as the round came forward from the magazine it went up the ramp and got caught on the lip where it sat in the barrel opening. i also find alot of rounds that did fire when the slide came back the spent shell was being caught when the next round was being chambered.

now i have to go to the outdoor store the next town over to get another box i can use :D

i dont mind so much as i'm learning what rounds i can use, very interesting because all my shotguns are 2 3/4 i'm so used to just buying a box of 2 3/4 shells and everythings fine

All depends on the gun. 333's and 555's worked fine out of every .22 ive owned. Ive actually never had any issues with any brand of .22 ammo yet.

one trick i've learned the hard way is to MAKE SURE THE ROUND IS FULLY SEATED AGAINST THE BACK OF THE MAGAZINE- this is more often than not the cause of a stoppage in a string - the old bang the tail on the hard surface works well-

just a quick update for anyone interested

my father in law got me a Remington Nylon 66 semi auto .22 for free in a trade for some old WWII items it loads 14 rounds through the buttstock. I also got an old Bushnell scope in a box of reloading supplies from a neighbour that fit perfect on it. went to the range and filled it over and over with the 333's and ripped the center out of a stack of targets.

no problems with the rifle. so i got about 200 rounds left i can use in the 66
also got a box of federals that seem to work fine in the pistol

still got alot to learn about ammo choices considering i dont have alot of cash to go out and get ammo with or time to get to the range

the nylon is a neat little rifle and i see there one on the exchange now

the nylon will digest anything you care to run down the tube- i've had one since 69- 4xbushnell clamp scope on it- the only thing i did was dremel a slot in the screws for the clamp on the scope as it takes an ultra wierd soft allen key that you can't find anywhere
