Winchester 350 legend with ballistics photos

Anything in 35 caliber intrigues me, however, I cannot understand why Winchester does not pour more focus back into wonderful existing cartridges like the 358 and 356 Winchester. I really don't know why they would create this cartridge with a .357 diameter rather than 358 as they is far more rifle bullet options in the .358. One of the online videos re: the 350 Legend indicated that the ammo would be inexpensive with the 150 FML offering coming in at $10 for a box of 20 (American).

You guys are aware that the 350 was designed for bolt gun hunting in States that only allow straight wall brass cases for hunting?

These States do not allow hunting with regular bottle neck rounds like the 30-30, 35 Rem.

My take is the 450 Bushmaster has taken off and proven to be an excellent hunting round my Ruger American is a 250 yard deer combo Winchester has just used the same concept.

It is exactly like a

Oh that's just an asinine sounding regulation.

The cartridge sounds like a modern take on a 30carbine sized up to 35... in a bolt rifle? Meh, none of us are in those odd states.
See what autoloaders come out chambered for it, could be a cool bush wacker.

I had a quick look & it appears to be bolts only @ this point! I am surprised to be honest!

Man I hate how the mag sticks out on the XPR...

Considering most of those states had no rifle season and you were limited to shotguns or a bow, straight walled rifle cases are a step in the right direction for many.

CMMG already has developed an AR in this cartridge with a March or April launch. Apparently AR15 mags need to be modified somewhat for reliable feeding as the rib at the front of the mag (for the .223/5.56 bottleneck) needs to be reduced or removed.

I put my 30-30 Hornady 160 grains ftx at 2400 ft per sec and n to my Balistic app and that 350 does not even come close the n power factor what a joke 30-30 is even 1 inch lower at 300 yrd

Many states are not just straight wall restricted, but also .35 cal minimum restricted... that is where they are going with this cartridge... it make zero sense here in Canada, unless you just want to play with something new... which is as valid as any other excuse we use to buy and shoot new cartridges.

I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of 1000 ft lbs. at any distance.:stirthepot2:

My 22-250 Carrys 1000 ftlbs to 400. I dont see how winchester can claim "massive downrange energy" when it doesnt even carry the recommended 1200 ftlbs for medium sized game like whitetails past 120 yards. That's 110 meters. That's my whole point.
