Never had the time to do it myself, so got my gunsmith to do the job for me. winchester 37A 12 gauge 3" was a 30" barrel full choke, now 26" cylinder bore, with adjustable savage rifle sights which were drilled and tapped.

Me thinks it looks good.:D

Well, looks good. The best cooey/ 37a that has not been destroyed with a stupid pistol grip.

That looks like a great gun for slugs, hope you can get the pattern inside a few inches at 40-50 yards.

Totally agree...i'm not into the pistol grip thing myself either. I love the old single shots, have 8 myself, several original cooeys, couple different gauges, as well as as few 37A's. I have two 12 gauge 37A's, and this one was in the slightly lesser shape, (considering it's still in very good plus plus - almost excellent condition).. my other one is very near to mint, so I chose the one pictured.

I'm also hoping it will group good..gonna try it out this weekend I think.

Sorry, no update pics..I ended up selling it to my cousin...Drove me crazy for weeks wanting to buy it..finally gave in. He still has it as far as I know..filled his moose tag with it this past fall. Told me one shot at roughly 50 yards, dropped in its tracks, double lung. Kinda jealous..

May have to get another one of those made up in the near future..

ahh nice. the original pics are not available and I wanted to see. thinking of picking a 37A up myself, but do not know much about them
