Winchester 44 Mag. Trapper Value?

So I've been out of the firearm scene for awhile, and after an accident and surgery it appears I won't be shooting centerfire anymore. Hard choices had to be made but think I have to sell off my Trapper. I know they're hard to come by and doesn't look like much for recent sales to get an idea of price, so was wondering if I could ask for yrall's opinion.

A very good plus 1894 .44mag trapper, cross bolt with an aftermarket peep is not going to last long at $800bucks. Price of everything has gone up and there seems to be an increased interest in lever actions lately. The cross bolt safety is a minus for sure but they are still fun guns.

I prefer the 1892's smoother action and no safety but peeps are nice, is your peep on the side of the action or does it straddle over the top? Sounds like maybe it's an XS

It straddles the top and mounted where the two small screws are. The front blade gets swapped out too and the original rear sight can stay on with the ghost ring lining up just above it. Can't remember the manufacturer. I've owned two of these Trappers over the years and never had a problem with the cross-bolt safety for what it's worth. Would post pictures but still trying to figure out how to get them from the computer to here.
 
I'm a bit confused, is the Trapper a '92 or a '94? A picture or pictures would help to determine value.

I looked online at the Winchester Arms site and current(ish), (the Trapper seems to be out of production), all have a tang safety now. What generation of Winchester levers had a cross bolt safety?

A Trapper in 44 Mag, is a niche firearm, meant to be carried while working a trap line. With a 16" barrel and factory ammo, it would be a barky beast, and recoil would be somewhat obnoxious. A 20" barrel tames it a bit, cowboy ammo makes it a bit more fun to shoot. Therefore, I'd value it at between $350 and $750, depending on condition, fit and finish, and smooth operation. Not having a 10 round capacity in the magazine precludes using it for Cowboy Action, removing it from that market.
 
Winchester has done all sorts of different safety system over the years, cross bolt, rebounding hammers, tang, no cross bolt 92's that I have ever seen.
I've never noticed much difference in noise or recoil going from 16" to 20".... the main difference I notice is the handling and balance and I prefer the 16" guns for how handy they are.

I'd guess less then 3 minutes on the EE if listed at $350 and likely a full inbox...... :)
