As the thread title suggests, how rare are Winchester 64's, and what is the price range of a decent one?

I like the lever "rifle" look, the stocks are nice too......

Thanks,

They aren't that terribly rare; I'd use the word "uncommon", but they come up regularly on the exchange. Pre-64 guns are worth more. Generally, plain rifles in good condition run from about $550 to about $800, from what I've seen. The deluxe models come up less frequently and I wouldn't want to guess. Classy firearm.

i dont know if they are considered rare either. according to my reserch on the net there were just over 66 thousand made from 1933 to 1957 and another run made in the 70s for about a year. seems a little rare to me.

I was never all that crazy about the 20" Model 94s, but the Model 64 always seemed to me to be a much nicer package. I'm surprised that Winchester didn't make more. Most of the "shooters" go for around $500 and up depending on condition.

I got this one for under $500 on the EE a while back.

I've got a very nice pre-war 30-30 with a Redfield receiver sight. The amount of dollars it would take to pry it out of my hands would make one think they were rare... ;)

In the past I had a Winchester Model 64 in.32 Special.Nice rifle but a little on the heavy side when compared to the Model 94 carbine in the same calibre.
