Would some watered down (thin it out) wood gorilla glue work over superglue ?? I’ve got everything else I’m also debating as to whether I should pop some pins in it aswell ?? It’s only a 22 so it isn’t like there is a ton of recoil when shooting. But this will be my first stock repair so I feel it better to ask before trial and error lol

The grooved receiver became available in 57

Well I was told on rim fire central that Based on the data from JWA's book:
Mid-1954 (grooved receiver implemented) to late 1957 (chromed trigger guards were phased in starting in 1955; completed by December of '57).

Honestly I'd stick with "Super Thin CA" ejected into the crack with a syringe, softly flex stock once or twice to help it wick into the crack, quickly wipe off any glue you see on the surface and clamp or used surgical tubing.
All this to be done like in 60 sec.
Using fresh CA is VERY time sensitive and can react very quickly. If it's a bit older (like 6 months) you have about double the time.
Once done, if done right, doubt you'll even see where it was cracked.
Do a dry run, see if one med trigger clamp will close the crack first. If so, that's all I'd use.
Gorilla glue, you mean the stuff that expands like foam? Only way I found to thin that, so it flows in a syringe, is with acetone.
I've only used that on an inside crack, which isn't visible.
It's gonna leave a mess on your finished stock! Even if you are super careful... you're still gonna see it.

If you're talking the clear Gorilla glue, not sure I'd use that, it's a lot more flexible, like silicone. Haven't tried to thin that stuff, not sure it will wick into the crack like Thin CA.
And I wouldn't pin it either, but that's just me.

Interesting but yet good to know, I’ve got some regular super glue that I’ll use then over the gorilla wood glue, I was also think about refinishing the stock as well (sanding and restaining it)

All is recommend for anyone else that does this and has to buy the materials not to purchase all in one store…. Bag of syringes with the needles, and surgical rubber band tubing ….. haha cashier will think you’re getting a DIY heroin starter kit lmfao
