Hey Guys - I have an old Winchester Model 75 with one mag. Its missing the factory sights, it was drilled and tapped for a scope mount. I was wondering if anyone knows a ballpark figure on what its worth?

Sorry kamlooky, I dont have any pics of it yet, and I understand how the lack of pics really limits how accurate someone can be with the value of a firearm. Im not hoping for a super accurate evaluation - just a rough idea. If I do get pics I will post them up here.

I'm not 100% sure what their actually worth but I sold one about 12 or 13 years ago for $650 and have regretted it ever since. I didn't even have a mag with it. It had a28" heavy target barrel with redfield target sights. It was without a doubt the most accurate 22 I had ever seen. My great uncle owned it and I remember when I was a kid seeing him light matches with it(he was a sniper in WW2). I really needed the money at the time unfortunately. I regret selling it more than other gun I've ever sold.

Thanks colonel3006 - I appreciate the input.

This rifle also has a feed issue. There is a lot of play in the magazine - forward and backwards that prevents the round from feeding. The mag has to be pushed forward to create the proper angle to feed a round in.

I looked for years for a clip for it and was never able to find one. Of course that was before I even knew how to turn a computer on. Likely be possible now to find one but I can imagine it wouldn't be cheap.

I got some pics of it and, as promised, here they are. I was too slow to decide so my buddy jumped on it and snapped it up. I was hesitant because there is some play in the magazine/magwell (front and back motion) - and because of that it would not feed snap caps without me rocking the magazine so that the magazine tilted up towards the chamber. Its new owner is wondering if anyone knows if its a known issue and if its an easy fix? It also does not have the original sights from what I can figure, and the scope and mount type are unfamiliar to me. The action is nice and smooth. He cleaned the bore and its really nice and shiny.

I'm pretty sure I saw 5 round mags for it at brownells - they were for the Model 52, so I am supposing they fit.
