Just bought my first 94. The leaver seems really loose as with the trigger. Is this normal for the 94s?overall it's in nice shape, just wondering if this is the way it is or suggestions on a fix
Thanks

I'm getting the same thing with my pre 64' 38-55...but I attribute it to age and a century of use. I was actually thinking of having my gunsmith look at it to see if the action could be snugged up a bit.

I just bought an old pre 38-55 (1896 according to the serial #) and the action is tight as a drum.....wish I could say the same about the bore:(

Pre 64's are not much better a lot of play it's how they were designed

Yep just like 1911 pistols,a little slop works great when intended. Drop some dry pine nettles into a 92 and a 94 and
see which one is easier to clean out, just open the bolt and the 94 is clean. The 94 triger always rattles, and you can

hold the trigger back while cocking the hammer and deer don't hear loud ratcheting action.

I think the trigger rattle is as loud as leaver ,but love does come at a price.
