***Winchester 94 Assemby HELP!!!!***

I've heard of kitchen table gunsmiths, but a bedroom smith is news to me. :p

A well explained assembly video.

Built the bed myself:p I've got my whole reloading setup miniaturized under it. Life's tough as a student, have to make due with cramped conditions.

Wally, I didn't realize that you made the video. Great work, helped me a lot to understand how the action went together.

I always like to work where I can get comfortable too !!

Thanks! I had to record the darn thing three times... first time I lost a screw, second time I forgot to hit record, third time I got it right!

Andrei - if you're having troubles with getting the hammer and trigger assembly in together here's a tip. Push the trigger assembly in a slight bit before you put the hammer assembly in. That'll ensure the hammer sear doesn't snag on the trigger. when the trigger is about halfway seated that's when you have to make sure the hammer is really going in place.

If you give guys some info on where you're stuck they can talk you through it.

This is the hardest part of the re-assembly, everything else is straight forward. To add to what Wally has said I use a small needle nose vise grip that I wrap a few times with tape. I depress the spring a bit on the trigger group with the vise grips and lock it down to take some of the pressure off of the hammer and then assemble them as shown on the video. I find it a bit easier if you don't have to fight the spring pressure also.
