Saddle ring model. How's the bore?

And is the rifle now yours?

Bore is dark but the rifling looks ok and no the rifle is not mine. Im just cleaning her up as a favor. Anything special about the saddle ring 94?

Carbine actually. Nothing special, just cool. They are great to hunt with. Everyone cut off the saddle ring; noise I'd imagine. At least they snipped the ring on this one as opposed to the post.

All done! Its hard to tell from pics but she looks much better now after 2 hours with steel wool and it functions flawlessly.

Nice SRC. The loading gate looks like it still has some crud around the edges. It has walnut stocks, much better than gumwood which is common on early 20th century Winchester carbines.

Nice of you to do. Maybe soak the bore a while and brush it a bit, it may clean out some sludge.
